Ganja Cuts Volume 1 was originally conceptualized by Sergio Funk and mixed by Selecta J-Cut in 2010. The greatest hits of cannabis infused reggae, hip-hop and a few cuts out of left field were rolled into a 60 minute mix. The initial plan for DJ Swisha Twista of Record Raider Radio to make the second chapter is still in the works, but in the meantime, Ganja Cuts Live will be featured on Mixcloud.com/selectajcut and Slipmat.io/jcutselecta in two parts this coming Tuesday, April 20.

Times have changed in regard to the prohibition and stigmatization of this magical herb, but the repercussions of prohibition and criminalization still affect millions here. We still have a long way to go to correct the wrongdoings and mistakes of our nation's past and ending the war on drugs is only one step towards the path to real justice. These songs embody both joyousness and celebration for the miracle plant, as well a call for advocacy and activism in support of the liberation of cannabis, worldwide.
